Getting a shot-in-the-face Tommy back to Jackson in time to save him is legitimately unrealistic. But when Abby/Yara push him into the water that was even worse for me like how the hell would he have survived that lol. Well, that was just falling in water. The stupid part was abby just forgot about him. Anyways, yeah, I really felt bad for Abby. She had processed a lot of that shit under the circumstances, betrayed the WLF for the higher purpose of protecting that kid (forgot name), became a better person and let Ellie live, TWICE. She gave up a lot. Absolutely one of the best characters in the game. 3. This within itself is horrifying and inhuman, even for The Last Of Us Part 2 . However, once Ellie reaches the cell where Abby is supposed to be held, the prisoners tell Ellie she is down by the beach. What Ellie finds is the remnants of what was once a strong and determined woman. Abby and Lev have both been pinned up and tortured by the Rattlers. It's because the writers are pretty bad. She killed hundreds to thousands of people just to spare someone who killed her father figure, wanted to kill her pregnant girlfriend, shot his uncle. If ellie actually killed abby and the ending stays the same eventhough the story is still bad it's not as bad as the real one. No, Abby is alive at the end of The Last of Us 2, after Ellie decides to spare her. After being captured by the Rattlers she's pushed to the brink, and realising that no good can come from the Abby lost her humanity when she lost her father, Ellie lost her last bit of humanity when she lost Joel and Joel lost his when he lost Sarah. This goes on for every character in both games. Everyone lost someone or something that more than likely made them a shell of their former selves. The last of us 2 is a good game for sure BUT it’s a BAD sequel to the beloved first game. The last of us part 2 has major issues with storytelling and especially pacing. Ultimately, Joel did what he did out of his love for Ellie, Abby did what she did out of revenge. She’s an opposition to our experience and perspective. Yara is a supporting character in The Last of Us Part II and a playable character in the No Return mode.
